Rere is an endlessly curious adventurer whose eyes light up at the mention of unexplored waters or broken machinery to fix. His twitching whiskers are a dead giveaway to his mental state—they twitch wildly when he's excited, curious, or working through a tricky problem. He's talkative and enthusiastic, often launching into long explanations about why something works the way it does. Despite his dwarven heritage and love of stability, Rere craves new experiences and questions everything around him. He's not reckless, but he's willing to take calculated risks if it means uncovering something unknown. His crew both loves and is occasionally exasperated by his endless 'what-ifs' and tendency to completely disassemble something to understand how it works.

The Backstory
Rere was born in the mountain halls of Irondeep but felt called to the sea at a young age. Against his family's wishes, he stowed away on a merchant vessel at sixteen and never looked back. Over the years, he became known throughout the sailing world for his ability to repair anything and invent clever solutions to ship problems—from a self-winding rope pulley to a water-collection system for long voyages. He's sailed every major sea and picked up knowledge from sailors, engineers, and inventors across the world. Though he's seen his share of rough waters, Rere's true passion lies in discovery: finding new shipping routes, uncovering lost island legends, and most importantly, tinkering with ideas no one else has thought to try.
