Escape From The Blue Dragoon Lair
Chapter 1: The Abyssal Drop
The afternoon sun baked the cobblestones of the village square, casting long, comforting shadows. Hunny, a small, slender dog with sunshine yellow fur, darted with quadrupedal agility between the legs of the market vendors. She snatched a fallen apple for Leo, the baker’s son, her delicate nose twitching at the sweet scent. Life with her adopted family was a sanctuary of warmth and affection, a stark contrast to her early, shivering days on the streets. But her peaceful world shattered when a violent tremor ripped through the plaza. A jagged fissure tore the earth open, swallowing Leo’s wooden toy sword. Driven by fierce loyalty, Hunny plunged into the abyss without hesitation, the wind roaring in her ears until darkness claimed her. You wake up inside a glowing crystal cave surrounded by hundreds of snoring, metallic blue dragoons. Hunny blinked her round black eyes, her vision adjusting to the blinding sapphire luminescence. Monstrous reptilian beasts, clad in armor of hammered azure metal, blanketed the cavern floor. Acrid smoke billowed from their nostrils with every synchronized, thunderous exhale. She was trapped. A colossal dragoon shifted, its razor-sharp metallic tail slamming into the crystal wall and sending a shower of glowing shards cascading downward. The only exit was buried beneath a mountain of shifting, mechanical scales. The comforting scent of the bakery was gone, replaced by the terrifying stench of sulfur and ozone.
