The Glass Wing Butterfly Magic Journey
The Stardust Trail

Star tapped her tiny hammer against a smooth river stone. Clink, clink, clink! She wiped her sage-green brow, adjusting the yellow hard hat on her head. Her rainbow hair bounced wildly as she stepped back to admire her work. A miniature rock bridge spanned the bubbling creek in Troll Valley. She reached into her blue overalls, pulling out a handful of bright blue pebbles to line the walkway. Suddenly, a flutter of orange caught her large purple eyes. A monarch butterfly danced above her bridge. But this wasn't an ordinary butterfly. Its wings shimmered like spun glass, and as it flew, a stream of golden stardust drifted to the ground. Where is it going? Star wondered, her tool belt clinking as she scrambled to her feet. The butterfly darted toward a dense, thorny thicket at the edge of the valley. The stardust illuminated a hidden, narrow path winding into the dark woods. Star couldn't resist. She chased the glowing trail, her mismatched socks flashing orange and rainbow stripes as she ran. Deeper and deeper she went, until the trees snapped shut behind her with a loud CRACK. The stardust vanished. The butterfly was gone. Star stood alone in a dark, silent ravine with steep, slippery walls rising on all sides.
