Tato's Race Against the Giant Clock
The Backwards Clock
Tato knelt on the workshop floor beside his daughter Maya, helping her connect tiny gears for her toy clock. "See how this gear makes that one turn?" he explained, his brown eyes focused on the mechanism. "Each piece has a job."
Suddenly, the Mayor burst through the door. "Tato! The town square clock tower collapsed! We need a new one built before sunset—that's when the Harvest Festival begins. You're the only builder who understands how clocks work!"
Tato stood, brushing sawdust from his blue shirt. At the town square, broken gears lay everywhere. He began assembling the massive tower, piece by piece, just like he debugged code—methodically, patiently. By noon, the tower stood tall.
But when Tato installed the clock hands, something went terribly wrong. The minute hand spun backwards! The hour hand jumped forward, then sideways! "Stop!" Tato called, but the hands whirled faster and faster, showing impossible times: 87 o'clock, then 2:99, then nothing that made sense.
The Mayor wrung his hands. "How will anyone know when the festival starts?"
Tato's jaw tightened. The clock was spinning out of control, and sunset was coming.
