The Golden Carrot
[NARRATOR] Grace arrives at the village carrot competition, where all the farmers display their finest vegetables. But something seems wrong.
[GRACE] Hello everyone. Why does everyone look so worried?
[SIDEKICK] Oh Grace, thank goodness you're here. A little bunny ate the golden carrot—the prize carrot that took months to grow.
[GRACE] Where is the bunny now?
[SIDEKICK] He's hiding behind the farmer's shed. He looked so hungry, Grace. I think he's scared we'll be angry with him.
[GRACE] We won't be angry. Let's go talk to him together. Maybe we can help.
[NARRATOR] Grace and her sidekick find the bunny trembling behind the shed.
[GRACE] Hello there, little one. We're not mad at you. What's your name?
[VILLAIN] I'm Clover. I didn't mean to eat it. I was just so hungry. Now everyone will blame me.
[GRACE] You know what? I think we can fix this. How about we grow a new carrot together? All of us, as a team.
[SIDEKICK] That's a wonderful idea, Grace.
[VILLAIN] You'd really help me after what I did?
[GRACE] Of course. Everyone deserves a second chance. Plus, you can teach us what makes soil good for carrots.
[NARRATOR] By next season, the new golden carrot grew even bigger, and Clover the bunny became the village's best friend.
