Who is Luna?

Luna is an eternally optimistic and fiercely loyal husky. She approaches every challenge with enthusiasm, though sometimes her eagerness gets her into trouble. She is incredibly friendly and loves making new friends, often greeting strangers with an excited howl and a wagging tail. While generally well-behaved, Luna has a mischievous streak and enjoys a good game of chase or tug-of-war.

Luna was born into a family of sled dogs. From a young age, she was taught the importance of loyalty, teamwork, and perseverance. However, Luna always dreamed of exploring beyond the familiar trails. One day, she decided to embark on her own adventure, hoping to discover new landscapes and make a difference in the world.

Husky Eyes: Myth vs. Reality

1. Luna's two different colored eyes are called heterochromia — this happens when each eye has different amounts of melanin, the pigment that gives color to eyes. 2. Siberian Huskies with heterochromia are NOT more likely to go blind — both of Luna's eyes work perfectly fine, even though one is blue and one is brown. 3. The ice-blue eye is caused by a lack of melanin — when there's less pigment, light scatters differently and creates that striking blue color. 4. Luna's brown eye has more melanin than her blue eye — this is the same reason some humans have brown eyes and others have blue eyes. 5. Heterochromia is completely natural in Siberian Huskies — about 1 in every 5 huskies can have mismatched eye colors. 6. Luna can see colors with both eyes equally well — the different colors don't affect how she sees the world around her. 7. Ancient people thought heterochromia was magical or supernatural — but it's actually just a cool genetic trait that makes dogs like Luna extra special. 8. Luna's eyes help her see better in snow and ice — the lighter colored eye is better at detecting movement in bright, reflective environments. 9. Both of Luna's eyes have the same vision power — having different colors doesn't mean one eye is weaker than the other. 10.
